Sandra Ramos, born 1969 in Havana, is one of the most important and cultural active artist of the post eighties generations. She studied at the academies “San Alejandro” and ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte) and received already the first of 12 awards in 1988, the year of her first exposition, followed by 172 all over the world. Her works are in 29 museum-collections in the USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Swizzerland, Germany, Holland and, last not least, the MOMA in New York. „Sandra Ramos belongs to a group of artists
trained in graphics, who, without breaking completely from the work
of their predecesors, have tried to find new directions for certain
graphic techniques, and to explore, in particular, their conceptual
potential.” |
