Curriculum - 12 - Isolina Limonta

Isolina Limonta Rodríguez, was born 1958 in Guantánamo and studied at the art-academies “San Alejandro” and ISA in Havana. Her works participated at 76 expositions in 16 countries and have been several times awarded.

“It is not always necessary for the work of an artist, to contain transcedental subjects, problems of reason or social activities. It can also be a picture that enchants the sense of beauty, that invites to a smile, or evokes a moment of intensive eroticism.
Isolina creates with lyrical and mixed compositions, with ease and care, with tenderness and firmness, particular structures that never the less have a strong caribbean flavor.”
